Description: the single-edged fulered blade marked at the base of the spine with a "W. (likely an inspector's initial/mark)" below a crown and a "10" indicating the year of issue as 1910, ricasso stamped "Weyersberg Kirschbaum and Co, Solingen", partially obscured by suspended langets, with ringed timber grip, the guard inscribed “1920” and “4-R 6.13.7” is seen both on the guard and the scabbard, the blackened manganese parkerized steel scabbard with single upper suspension ring indicative of issue date of 1910 or later, blade - 75cm, in scabbard - 91 x 15 x 3cm Note: Prussian issued M73 sabres typically have black bakelite grips, with the notable exception of wartime issued Ersatz examples which are generally found with timber grips, as seen in this example
