Description: the flared "canon-banded" brass barrel with maker's or retailer's mark reading "P. CLAY (somehwhat indistinct) LONDON", with surname repeated on hammer plate (again, indistinctly), with barrel also marked with "C.P. (London Proofhouse)", "F. (likely an inspector's initial/mark)" and "V." under crowns, in mahogany stock with reticulated forward and rear grips, with original timber ramrod in brass housing, foliate escutcheon plate and plain trigger guard, maker’s mark to top of barrel, 12 x 71 x 7cm
