Description: the “tenegre” is a sword found in the Visayas region of the Philippines, both examples here are of heavy construction with carved ebonised hardwood hilts depicting a horned figure, the blades flat on one side and edged on the other, broadening towards the point, the brass banded and capped rosewood scabbards bound in leather toward the handles, 64cm and 59cm
